              In the first version ( Franco ) the theme is more medieval times, with swords and a darker setting. I did not really like that but I can say it was very different from the others. The Actors did not portray my assumption of the original characters in the book. Their were a lot of important details that were missing in my opinion. In the second version ( Kenneth ) there is a very different style of mood it is unique. Even Though Most People Recommend the modern version i like the first version the best
  In the third version  ( Micheal ) Old Hamlet seems angry and seem like he is there to gain revenge on someone. Young Hamlet seem afraid as if his father is going to harm him. He is jumpy and acting as if his father was upset with him. The music is dramatic and overwhelming in certain cases. The blood pouring out his ears and the erupting ground is very overdone.

  1. Janiqua, great observations. I agree with you, too, about the Branagh version being a little dramatic. I'm interested to know what you would do with this scene as the director...
